This group meets on the second Friday of every month, 7.30 - 9.30 pm, but please check ahead if nothing is advertised.

Our starting point:

There is that of God in everyone.
Spiritual awareness is accessible to everyone of any religion or none.
No one faith can claim to have the final revelation or monopoly of truth.
A union of hearts between faiths can help prevent misunderstandings.
We do not seek to ‘convert’ one another but to share spiritual insights.
We seek to foster tolerance and mutual understanding between faiths.
We recognise the direct, unmediated communication between an individual and the creative source of love, light and life.
We understand the primacy of the Inward Light over Scripture.
We appreciate peace is a process to engage with one another rather than a goal to be reached.
We search our hearts and are seekers after Truth.
We delight in the diversity of faiths and beliefs and warmly welcome Quakers and non-Quakers to join with us.

The humble, meek, merciful, just, pious, and devout souls are everywhere of one religion; and when death has taken off the mask they will know one another, though the divers liveries they wear here makes them strangers.

The shamanic way is ancient, but it has many connections with the Quaker way, reaching to the depth of the spirit. Alison has been exploring it for over ten years as well as being a Quaker all her adult life.

Turning the Tide

Anna works for the Revolving Doors Agency, a charity working across England for people with multiple needs and exclusions who often end in jail. She and a colleague have worked out a vision paper for the future which she will share with us. Anna grew up in Sutton Meeting.
